In recent years, motorized scooters have become the transportation rage. So have the accompanying safety concerns. Scooter riders have suffered broken bones and traumatic brain injuries from falls, striking pedestrians or fixed objects and in collisions with vehicles.
In this edition of Live with Lisa, I share steps scooter riders can take to reduce risk. Also, I talk about the rules of the road and sharing the road. I provide tips for pedestrians and motorists. And I conclude with this safety conviction that applies to all road users: You don’t want to fall to pieces. Neither does that guy or gal driving the scooter.
