Learn from Pros
During the pandemic, fleet and workplace drivers have been recognized as heroes keeping America’s supply chain open. That’s one reason I am so excited to be partnering with an old friend, Brian Fielkow, in a four-part online training series that begins March 9: Safety Breakthrough.
Fielkow is the CEO at Houston-based Jetco Delivery and executive VP of The GTI Group. He is respected in the trucking industry as a safety leader. During the series, he will talk with professional drivers, as well as operations, safety and upper-management personnel on how to weave safety discussions into all aspects of fleet operations, from recruitment and retention of drivers to daily dispatch and senior-level strategy meetings.

The pros know there is a story to tell about nearly every delivery. Often, there are challenges to overcome, ranging from fuel costs to hours of service. Hidden Dangers
Employees drive fleet vehicles, company cars and pickups and their personal vehicles for work and pleasure. More than one in four vehicles in Texas has an unrepaired safety recall – and many of those involve defective airbags that can pose life-threatening risks.
The National Safety Council wants to make sure you and your workers stay safe every week, and especially during NHTSA’s Vehicle Safety Recalls Week March 8-12.
